5 ways to discover new young adult books uppercase ya book subscription box

1. Check out Epic Read’s monthly round-ups.

Every month the team over at the Epic Reads blog pics 20-ish books every month that they’re anticipating most. Their most anticipated YA books for September post included Uppercase’s book selection for this month along with Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas, A Shadow Bright and Burning by Jessica Cluess and many others!

The Epic Reads blog also posts fun YA book content like quizzes and polls, along with very relatable Book Nerd Problems videos. They’re a great resource to check every month for the hottest young adult book releases!

2. Browse Goodreads’ “New Release” and “Most Popular” lists.

There are a few hard-to-find Goodreads features that I personally use to see what YA books publishing that I might have missed.

The first is the Popular by Date page found here: https://www.goodreads.com/book/popular_by_date/2016. This page can be filtered by year or month. It’s a fun way to see what books – including mostly YA titles – have topped the charts on Goodreads.

The other place is often updated is their “Listopia” area. If you search for “YA books + the month & year,” you’re sure to find a list chock full of recent releases. Take September’s page: https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/98082.New_YA_Releases_September_2016

These Goodreads pages are super helpful in finding young adult books that are ridiculously easy to add to your TBR immediately.

3. Read YA book review blogs.

There are some dedicated readers out there who spend a lot of time reading ya books and writing up their honest thoughts about them.

Below are some YA book blogs that are my personal favorites:

AND, if you don’t have a set news aggregator/blog feed, I highly recommend feedly.com.

4. Consider Amazon’s “Best Young Adult Books of the Month” selections.

While Amazon doesn’t have the personal touch of bloggers or the insider scoop of Goodreads, they do have one very important thing: buying trends and data.

I always like checking their “Best Young Adult Books of the Month” picks (found HERE). It offers insights into what young adult books are gaining popularity and which ones to watch out for.
